SPARKLE

I just made a totally frivilous purchase.   Can you guess what it was?

Did you notice the GIANT DISCO BALL in each room?  And oh my goodness!  Look what I found while searching for disco ball images-

Looks like a good DIY project to me! Hee hee.

They are easy enough to find on Ebay or Amazon if you search for 16" mirror disco ball or 20" mirror disco ball.  The only real difference that I saw was that some have a plastic core, making them heavier, and some have a styrofoam core.  I would assume if you plan to hang it you would want the lighter one, but the plastic core seems like it would be more durable.  But, I really don't know if one is better than the other.

I ended up buying this one.  I changed my mind every two minutes as to which size to buy.  I almost bought the 16" because I thought it would be more practical, because a huge disco ball is nothing if not practical. However, I decided to go with the 20" big daddy.  I just thought I would be sorry if I didn't go big!  I have a blue exercise ball that is the same size that I've been moving around the house to get a feel for the size.  Totally impractical, but it's so shiny and sparkly and fun and I can't wait to get it!

Enjoy your weekend!  We're headed to my husband's 20th college reunion at OBU.  I can gloat because he's older than me, and my 20th reunion isn't until NEXT year.  :)

Have you ever been to Decorator's Warehouse in Arlington? If not, you MUST put it on your list ASAP! My daughter and I were over there last weekend and it is a Christmas wonderland. They have them in many sizes ~ we were both tempted but didn't make the purchase. :(

  19. I suddenly feel the urge to wash my clothes. I mean, buy a disco ball. (Lol.) Maybe I'm slow (b/c I hardly everrr hang out on Pinterest...just spurts here and there) and my blog reading is limited...and I guess I kind of live in a cave...because who knew disco balls were that big of a rage? #you. ;) I love it. And I know you will have a ton of fun with yours.

And if it makes you happy (and it's not hurting anyone), is it really frivolous? ;) Can't wait to see it!
